Giai Restless...

First a tsunami in Asia that kills hundreds of thousands, and now this. Is our Mother Earth (Gaia) trying to tell us something? Is this a not-so-gentle reminder that the warmth and comfort of a mother's bosom should not be taken for granted? That mothers too, have needs. And if those needs are neglected, there goes the warmth and comfort.

Bush knew that a category 5 hurricane - the strongest there is - was about to descend on millions of people, and that half a million of these people lived BELOW SEA LEVEL protected by dikes only designed for category 3 storms. But he ignored the warnings. After all, he was on vacation. Sound familiar? It should. George W. Bush was also on vacation when 911 hit, despite warnings that a terrorist attack was imminent. As a matter of record, during his five years in office, Bush has spent 351 days on vacation. (Must be nice.) But why let a little thing like mass death and destruction interfere with his vacation? After all, he'd only been on vacation for five straight weeks. He wasn't quite finished having fun yet. The photo below is of George W. Bush on August 30, the day the hurricane exploded on New Orleans.

When he should have been organizing evacuations, and shelters, and mobilizing the national guard, George W. Bush was having a party.
