The bright full Moon begins to move into Earth's shadow.

The astonishing photo below dramatically captures the magic of totality,
with the Moon bathed in the ruddy red glow of sunlight scattered by Earth's atmosphere.
And from the sudden dark of a night temporarily robbed of its moonlight
the planet Saturn (below), and the star Regulus (above) briefly appear,
only to fade away again like ghosts as the bright moonlight slowly returns.
